Onko sinulla tai porukallasi idea podcastista, jolla edistetään tasa-arvoa, kansanvaltaa ja kulttuuria? Haluatko tehdä ideastasi totta parhaiden ammattilaisten avulla? Nyt se on mahdollista! Väinö Tannerin säätiö tukee podcast-kilpailullaan moniäänistä yhteiskunnallista keskustelua ja nostaa esiin uusia ääniä ja tekijöitä. Podcastit toteutetaan ensi sijassa videomuodossa, mutta myös ehdotukset äänipodasteiksi otetaan huomioon.

Muistathan perustella, miksi juuri sinun podcastisi tekee Suomesta paremman ja reilumman kaikille olla ja elää.
Kilpailussa on kolme vaihetta
- syyskuun alussa julkaisemme viisi finalistia, joille tarjoamme huippuammattilaisten sparrausta podcast-konseptin kanssa viikoilla 37-38
- Viidestä finalistista kolme valitaan jatkoon ja pääsevät nauhoituksiin laadukkaaseen studioon viikoilla 42-43. Finalistrien podien editointi ja muu viimeistely tehdään viikkoon 43-46 viikoilla.
- Joulukuun ensimmäisellä viikolla julkaistava voittaja saa myös apua ja rahaa podcastin markkinointiin. Samalla myös muiden finalistien podcastit tulevat kaikkien kuultavaksi.
Kaikissa vaiheissa valinnat perustuvat riippumattomien asiantuntijoiden arvioihin. Kilpailun vaiheista ja voittajasta ilmoitetaan kaikille hakijoille.

Kilpailun järjestää ja tuen rahoittaa Väinö Tannerin säätiö, joka on tukenut moniäänistä avointa keskustelua muun muassa jakamalla podcast-tuotantotukea vuodesta 2022 lähtien.
Väinö Tannerin säätiö puolustaa ja tukee demokratiaa, sivistystä ja sellaista rakentavaa yhteiskunnallista keskustelua, joka edistää luottamusta hyvään tulevaisuuteen. Kaikkien Suomessa asuvien tulee voida kokea kuuluvansa tänne ja Suomen tulee näyttäytyy avarakatseisena ja vastuullisena.

Kilpailun säännöt
Kilpailuun voi osallistua ja tuotantotukea voi saada podcast-sarja. Sisältöä suunniteltaessa suosittelemme eettisten ohjeiden, kuten Mainonnan eettisten sääntöjen ja Viestinnän eettisten sääntöjen noudattamista soveltaen.
Tuotantotukea voi saada aiheisiin, joissa käsitellään asioita rakentavasti, mutta rajukin kritiikki ja huumori on tietysti sallittua. Selvästi hyvän tavan vastainen tai vihapuhe on kuitenkin kielletty.
Tuotantotukea saavalla hankkeella voi olla myös sellaista kaupallista ja muuta yhteistyötä muiden tahojen kanssa, joiden toiminta ei ole ristiriidassa tuen tarjoavan Väinö Tannerin säätiön tarkoituksen kanssa (tasa-arvon ja kansanvallan edistäminen suomalaisessa yhteiskunnassa ja kulttuurissa, kansainvälinen yhteistyö mukaan lukien).
Tekijät esittävät ja julkaisevat podcastinsa omissa nimissään ja haluamallaan tavalla ja vastaavat podcastien sisällöstä.
Kaikki oikeudet podcasteihin säilyvät tekijöillä. Tekijät vastaavat siitä, että heillä on käytössään kaikki tarvittavat tekijänoikeudet, kuten mahdollisen musiikin esittämisoikeudet ja oikeudet jakaa podcastia eteenpäin valitsemillaan alustoilla.
Tuotantotuki on tuotantoresursseja, ei rahaa tai apurahoja työskentelyyn. Tukea ei anneta laite-, ohjelmisto- ym. hankintoihin eikä palkkioihin.

About the competition
Do you or your team have an idea for a podcast that promotes equality, democracy and culture? Do you want to make your idea a reality with the help of the best professionals? Now it’s possible! Väinö Tanner Foundation supports multi-voiced social debate and highlights new voices and creators with its podcast competition. Podcasts are primarily produced in video format, but suggestions for audio podcasts are also taken into account.
You can enter the competition on the foundation’s website no later than 16 August 2026.
Remember to justify why your podcast makes Finland a better and fairer place for everyone to be and live.
The competition has three stages
- In the beginning of September we will announce five finalists, to whom we will offer sparring with top professionals on the podcast concept (weeks 37-38)
- Three of the five finalists will be selected to continue and allowed to recordings in a high-quality studio (weeks 42-43). Editing and finalizing during weeks 43-46.
- The winner will be announced during the first week of December. The winner will also receive help and money to market the podcast. At the same time, the podcasts of the other finalists will also be available for everyone to listen to.
At all stages, the selections are based on the assessments of independent experts. All applicants will be informed about the stages of the competition and the winner.

The competition is organized and funded by Väinö Tanner Foundation, which has supported open, multi-voiced debate by distributing podcast production support since 2022, among other things.
The Väinö Tanner Foundation defends and supports democracy, civilisation and constructive social debate that promotes confidence in a good future. All people living in Finland should be able to feel that they belong here and Finland should appear open-minded and responsible.

Competition rules
You can participate in the competition and receive production support for a podcast series. When planning the content, we recommend following ethical guidelines, such as the Advertising Code of Ethics and the Communications Code of Ethics.
Production support can be obtained for topics that discuss issues constructively, but harsh criticism and humor are of course allowed. However, hate speech that is clearly against good manners or hate speech is prohibited.
A project receiving production support may also have commercial and other collaborations with other parties whose activities do not conflict with the object of the Väinö Tanner Foundation (promoting equality and democracy in Finnish society and culture, including international cooperation).
The authors present and publish their podcasts under their own names and in the manner they wish and are responsible for the content of the podcasts.
All rights to the podcasts remain with the authors. The authors are responsible for ensuring that they have access to all necessary copyrights, such as the rights to perform any music and the rights to distribute the podcast on the platforms they choose.
Production support is for production resources, not money or grants for work. Support is not provided for equipment, software, etc. purchases or fees.
